Lindsey Hay MACA, PACFA CLINICAL

Clinical Psychotherapist

Practice Owner.

Hi, I’m Lindsey, the founder of Psych’d. I’m a highly experienced and approachable counsellor with more than 25 years of experience working across the homelessness, child protection, youth justice, and parenting sectors. I bring this extensive experience, along with a deep sense of empathy and purpose, into every session I provide.

I’m passionate about supporting people to overcome challenges and create meaningful, lasting change in their lives. My clients often describe me as engaging, outcome‑focused, and genuinely caring. I believe that with the right support, we all have the ability to grow through adversity and build resilience, no matter what life brings.

My Clinical Approach

My therapeutic style draws on behavioural, humanistic, and psychodynamic frameworks, allowing me to adapt to each person’s unique circumstances and needs. I use a range of evidence‑based interventions including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness, and Internal Family Systems (IFS) to help clients develop insight, strengthen coping skills, and foster personal growth.

I have extensive experience working with individuals, families, and adolescents, with a special interest in supporting those who are neurodiverse, as well as individuals navigating trauma, parenting challenges, and post traumatic and dissociative disorders.

My clinical practice is trauma‑informed, strengths‑based, and grounded in empathy, respect, and genuine care. I truly resonate with the hurt and pain my clients experience and endeavour to walk alongside them with care and compassion, gently guiding the way toward healing and hope.

I value every person’s experiences as unique and believe you already hold strengths and insights that can support your healing journey. My role is to help you nurture these strengths and work toward outcomes that feel right for you. There’s never any pressure or judgment, just understanding, patience, and support.

At Psych’d, my goal is to create a warm, safe, and empowering space where you feel seen, respected, and heard as you work toward greater wellbeing and personal fulfillment.

Jessica Donovan  MACA

Registered Counsellor

Telehealth Only

My name is Jess and I have a deep passion for supporting individuals through life’s challenges.

My decision to pursue a career in psychotherapy was born out of my own experiences of hardship and adversity. My personal journey has shaped my approach to counselling, allowing me to connect with people on a deeper level and offer genuine empathy.

I have completed a Bachelor of Counselling, which followed studies in social science. I am a Australian Counselling Association Level 2 Registered Counsellor. Over the last 10 years, I have spent countless hours volunteering in youth programs, along with having experience working as a school chaplain. These experiences have allowed me to grow in my ability to journey with others, along with opportunities to engage in creative passions.

I have had the honour of working with a diverse range of individuals, having supported them in various matters, including depression, anxiety, trauma, relationship issues, grief, self-esteem, neurodiversity and addiction.

I would feel privileged to help you explore and work through what you are experiencing.
