Practitioners

Lindsey Hay MACA, PACFA CLINICAL
Clinical Psychotherapist
Practice Owner.
Hi, I’m Lindsey, the founder of Psych’d. I’m a highly experienced and approachable counsellor with more than 25 years of experience working across the homelessness, child protection, youth justice, and parenting sectors. I bring this extensive experience, along with a deep sense of empathy and purpose, into every session I provide.
I’m passionate about supporting people to overcome challenges and create meaningful, lasting change in their lives. My clients often describe me as engaging, outcome‑focused, and genuinely caring. I believe that with the right support, we all have the ability to grow through adversity and build resilience, no matter what life brings.
My Clinical Approach
My therapeutic style draws on behavioural, humanistic, and psychodynamic frameworks, allowing me to adapt to each person’s unique circumstances and needs. I use a range of evidence‑based interventions including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness, and Internal Family Systems (IFS) to help clients develop insight, strengthen coping skills, and foster personal growth.
I have extensive experience working with individuals, families, and adolescents, with a special interest in supporting those who are neurodiverse, as well as individuals navigating trauma, parenting challenges, and post traumatic and dissociative disorders.
My clinical practice is trauma‑informed, strengths‑based, and grounded in empathy, respect, and genuine care. I truly resonate with the hurt and pain my clients experience and endeavour to walk alongside them with care and compassion, gently guiding the way toward healing and hope.
I value every person’s experiences as unique and believe you already hold strengths and insights that can support your healing journey. My role is to help you nurture these strengths and work toward outcomes that feel right for you. There’s never any pressure or judgment, just understanding, patience, and support.
At Psych’d, my goal is to create a warm, safe, and empowering space where you feel seen, respected, and heard as you work toward greater wellbeing and personal fulfillment.

Rebecca Combs PACFA,
Certified Practicing Counsellor
Rebecca is a psychotherapist and counsellor with a Master’s degree in Gestalt Therapy. She is a registered member of the Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia (PACFA) and the Gestalt Australia and New Zealand (GANZ). Rebecca brings to her work a deep respect for the uniqueness of each individual’s experience and healing journey.

Before entering the therapy profession, Rebecca worked extensively as a rhythm and movement facilitator. In this role she worked with early childhood, primary and secondary school students, as well as private organisations, councils and community groups. Through this work she witnessed the powerful role that movement and somatic expression can play in releasing tension, restoring vitality, and reconnecting people to themselves and each other. These experiences highlighted for her how essential contact, belonging, and embodied expression are for human wellbeing, and the important role that supportive community connection can play in the recovery process for mental health.

Rebecca’s therapeutic work is grounded in the principles of Gestalt therapy, which emphasises present-moment awareness, authentic relationship, and the integration of mind and body. She places strong value on creating a safe, compassionate therapeutic environment where clients can explore their experiences, develop deeper self-awareness, and restore meaningful contact with themselves and others.

Alongside her private practice, Rebecca has worked within the mental health sector supporting individuals through crisis, emotional overwhelm, and recovery. Her experience includes facilitating mindfulness groups and supporting clients experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, and relational challenges. She brings a calm, grounded presence to her work and a strong capacity to support people through complex emotional processes.

Rebecca has a particular interest in working with trauma, including post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and complex post-traumatic stress disorder (C-PTSD). From a Gestalt and relational perspective, she understands trauma not only as a psychological experience but as something that is often held within the body and nervous system. Her work supports clients to gently build awareness of how past experiences may continue to shape current patterns of emotion, behaviour, and relationship.

Through careful pacing, relational safety, and embodied awareness practices, Rebecca supports clients to reconnect with parts of themselves that may have been fragmented or disconnected through traumatic experiences. Gestalt therapy allows space for unfinished experiences to be explored and integrated, helping clients gradually develop greater self-support, emotional regulation, and resilience.

Rebecca also brings an ongoing interest in the relationship between trauma, the body, and physical health. She has completed two years of study in medical intuition, a training that continues to inform her curiosity about how trauma and emotional experiences can manifest in the body as illness or dis-ease. This perspective contributes to her holistic approach to psychotherapy, where emotional, relational, and somatic dimensions of experience are all welcomed and explored.

Rebecca offers therapy that is embodied, relational, and grounded in compassion, supporting individuals to navigate life transitions, mental health challenges, trauma recovery, and the deeper process of reconnecting with themselves and others.

Jessica Donovan MACA
Registered Counsellor
Telehealth Only
My name is Jess and I have a deep passion for supporting individuals through life’s challenges.

My decision to pursue a career in psychotherapy was born out of my own experiences of hardship and adversity. My personal journey has shaped my approach to counselling, allowing me to connect with people on a deeper level and offer genuine empathy.

I have completed a Bachelor of Counselling, which followed studies in social science. I am a Australian Counselling Association Level 2 Registered Counsellor. Over the last 10 years, I have spent countless hours volunteering in youth programs, along with having experience working as a school chaplain. These experiences have allowed me to grow in my ability to journey with others, along with opportunities to engage in creative passions.

I have had the honour of working with a diverse range of individuals, having supported them in various matters, including depression, anxiety, trauma, relationship issues, grief, self-esteem, neurodiversity and addiction.
