Areas of Support

Everyone’s experiences are different, and there is no single reason people seek support. Whether you’re navigating emotional challenges, supporting a child, managing disability-related needs, or adjusting to life changes, we offer compassionate and evidence-informed care tailored to your situation.

Below you’ll find the key areas we support. If you’re unsure where your concerns fit, we welcome you to reach out — we’re here to guide you.

Mental Health and Emotional Wellbeing

At times, managing thoughts, emotions, and daily pressures can feel overwhelming. Whether you’re experiencing ongoing anxiety, low mood, stress, or simply feeling “not quite yourself,” support can help you better understand what’s happening and develop tools to move forward with greater confidence.

We provide a safe, respectful space where you can explore your experiences at your own pace.

Common Concerns We Support

We work with individuals experiencing:

  • Anxiety and excessive worry

  • Panic symptoms

  • Depression or persistent low mood

  • Stress and burnout

  • Emotional overwhelm

  • Difficulty regulating emotions

  • Low self-esteem

  • Social anxiety

  • Adjustment to life changes

You don’t need to have a diagnosis to seek support. If something feels difficult or heavy, that is reason enough.

Neurodiversity Support

We provide neurodiversity-affirming support for children, adolescents, and adults with ADHD and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).

Neurodivergent minds bring unique strengths, perspectives, and ways of experiencing the world. At the same time, navigating school, work, relationships, and daily life within systems that aren’t always designed for neurodivergent individuals can be challenging.

Children, Adolescents and Teens

Growing up comes with challenges, from changing friendships, academic pressure, family dynamics, identity development, and big emotions that can sometimes feel overwhelming.

Counselling provides a supportive space for young people to talk openly, build coping skills, and better understand their thoughts and feelings in a way that feels safe and respectful.

We work with children, adolescents, and teens across a range of emotional, behavioural, and developmental concerns.

Happy group of friends

Common Areas of Support

We support young people experiencing:

  • Anxiety and panic symptoms

  • Low mood or depression

  • School stress or school refusal

  • Social difficulties and friendship challenges

  • Emotional regulation struggles

  • Behavioural concerns

Every young person’s experience is unique. Therapy is tailored to their age, needs, and personality.

How Therapy Works

For children, sessions may incorporate play-based and creative approaches to help them express emotions in developmentally appropriate ways.

For adolescents and teens, sessions provide a confidential space to speak openly about what’s happening in their lives, including friendships, family relationships, school pressure, and identity.

Therapy focuses on building insight, resilience, emotional regulation skills, and practical coping strategies.

We use evidence-informed approaches such as CBT, ACT, mindfulness-based strategies, and emotional regulation skill development.

Working with Families

For younger clients, parent or caregiver involvement is often an important part of therapy.

For teens, we respect their privacy while maintaining appropriate communication with caregivers in line with ethical and legal guidelines.

Our goal is to support both the young person and their family in creating positive and sustainable change.

A Safe and Supportive Environment

We aim to create a space where young people feel heard, understood, and respected — without judgement.

If you’re unsure whether counselling is right for your child or teen, we welcome you to get in touch to discuss your concerns.

Trauma, Grief and Loss

Experiences of trauma and loss can have a profound impact on emotional wellbeing, relationships, and daily functioning. Whether the experience was recent or occurred many years ago, its effects can linger in ways that feel confusing, overwhelming, or difficult to put into words.

You do not have to carry this alone.

We provide a safe, steady space to gently explore your experiences at a pace that feels manageable and respectful.

Trauma Support

Trauma can result from a single distressing event or ongoing experiences over time. It may affect how you feel in your body, how you relate to others, and how safe the world feels.

We support individuals who have experienced:

  • Childhood trauma

  • Domestic and family violence

  • Emotional or psychological abuse

  • Sudden or distressing events

  • Ongoing stress or complex trauma

  • Child protection involvement

It can also include:

  • Relationship breakdown

  • Loss of identity or life direction

  • Health diagnoses

  • Major life transitions

  • Loss of safety or stability

Grief does not follow a straight line. It can come in waves, and each person’s experience is unique.

Our Approach

We integrate approaches such as:

  • Trauma-informed psychotherapy
