If you’re feeling lost or stressed, have an issue you need to offload safely or need to learn new strategies to deal with life stresses then Psych'd can help you move forward in a caring, empathetic and compassionate way.

Psych'd caters for children, teenagers and adults. Psych'd offers strength-based, trauma informed, individualised therapy to meet clients where they are at, in their therapeutic journey. Psych'd offers a range of therapeutic interventions depending on the needs of the client.

The various passions and services that Psych'd provides are behavioural support and intervention, school issues, anxiety and depression, mental health, parenting support, perinatal, attachment and bonding, life changes and challenges, ASD and neurodivergent support, child safety advocacy, domestic violence, and trauma psychotherapy.

Lindsey Hay MACA

Hi, I’m Lindsey, the founder of Psych'd.

With over 20 years of experience in the mental health and social services sector, I offer compassionate, trauma informed and empathetic approach to therapy.

I hold a Master of Counselling and a Postgraduate degree in Forensic Psychology. I am a qualified practitioner of the Circle of Security attachment and Hanen’s You Make the Difference programs. I am an Australian Counselling Association Level 3 Clinical Psychotherapist and a Workover QLD-approved practitioner.

My professional journey has taken me through a variety of roles, including working in homelessness, juvenile justice, child protection, family support, and behavioural intervention. I’m passionate about providing strength-based, trauma-informed therapy to children, teenagers, and adults facing a range of challenges, from mental health concerns to life changes and trauma.

At Psych'd, I am committed to meeting each client where they are in their therapeutic journey, offering individualized support to help them move forward in a safe, understanding, and caring environment.

Jess Donovan

My name is Jess and I have a deep passion for supporting individuals through life’s challenges.

My decision to pursue a career in psychotherapy was born out of my own experiences of hardship and adversity. My personal journey has shaped my approach to counselling, allowing me to connect with people on a deeper level and offer genuine empathy.

I have completed a Bachelor of Counselling, which followed studies in social science. Over the last 10 years, I have spent countless hours volunteering in youth programs, along with having experience working as a school chaplain. These experiences have allowed me to grow in my ability to journey with others, along with opportunities to engage in creative passions.

I have had the honour of working with a diverse range of individuals, having supported them in various matters, including depression, anxiety, trauma, relationship issues, grief, self-esteem, neurodiversity and addiction.

I would feel privileged to help you explore and work through what you are experiencing.

Services

General Counselling

Life throws many surprises at us, and while we cannot predict the outcome of any situation, we can control how we respond to certain conditions. Counselling sessions will allow adults, children and teenagers to talk openly and comfortably whilst receiving active listening and acknowledgement of the issues whilst receiving compassionate and empathetic therapy, to assist and guide through thoughts, feelings, and behavioural responses.

Adult Counselling

Adult counselling is available for individuals who would like support, guidance, understanding, empathy, and compassion regarding the circumstances that guide them to counselling. Each session is client-focused and client-driven to allow personal control of the issues discussed and the pace that suits individual needs. EAP and Workcover clients welcome.

Children and Teenager Counselling

Children and teens sometimes have difficulty expressing themselves or explaining their worries, fears, and anxieties. Challenging behaviour, thoughts, and feelings may result. Other children and teenagers may have differing complex needs, disabilities, and disorders - ASD, ADHD, ODD, etc. or have experienced trauma, family separation, grief and loss, stress, depression, or bullying that may require additional support and therapeutic intervention. NDIS and early years funding are accepted..

Psych'd does not require health care plans as the gap fee is charged for the consultation (therefore cannot be claimed under Medicare).

Psych'd is a registered NDIS provider for plan-managed self-managed. NDIA managed for clients over the age of 9.
